Stearyl Dimethicone. PURESIL™ STEARYL DM E6 by Elkem Silicones is an alkyl-modified silicone wax. It acts as a compatibilizer when combing organic oils and silicones. It melts on contact with skin and provides a smooth, silky & moisturized feel. It shows broad compatibility with cosmetic ingredients.
  • It is a good pigment dispersant, offering good substantivity, water resistance and repellency.
  • It increases shine and payout in lipsticks.
  • It is suitable for formulating skin care products (moisturizers, anti-aging & facial creams) and sun care products (protection creams).
  • PURESIL™ STEARYL DM E6 is also used in hair care (leave-on treatments & pomades) and makeup (foundations, concealers, cream eyeshadows).
  • It has a shelf life of 18 months.
