Dimethicone (and) Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer. PURESIL™ D308 by Elkem Silicones is a dispersion of silicone crosspolymer in semi volatile dimethicone. It is a sensory enhancer offering non- greasiness, light and delicate skin feel, fast drying and non-tackiness. It shows improved spreadability and can be used in cold processing. This ingredient offers skin smoothing, soft & silky feel, moisturization feel, optically wrinkle masking, and matte effect. It is used for emolliency, conditioning, slip, optical effect, and stabilization. PURESIL™ D308 is suitable for make-up, skin-, body-, hair- and sun care formulations. It is used in concealers, foundations, make-up bases, cream blushes, cream eyeshadows, matte lip glaze, and lipsticks. It is designed for skin serum, moisturizers, anti-aging products, sun protection (cream & lotions), suntan lotions, leave-in conditioners, spray, and styling products. The shelf life of this ingredient is 24 months.
