Bentone® Ultimate LC

C9-12 Alkane (and) Disteardimonium Hectorite (and) Glyceryl Oleate. Bentone® Ultimate LC by Elementis is a non-animal origin rheological additive for cosmetics and toiletries. It is a specially prepared dispersion of an optimally pre-activated, organically modified hectorite in a low carbon chain alkane. It is suitable for emulsions (w/o and o/w) and can be used in cold process systems. It has a high active content to provide rheological control and excellent suspension of pigments and actives.

• Due to its volatility, it is an excellent alternative to cyclopentasiloxane-based products, traditional polymers and cellulose-based thickeners for stabilizing emulsions.
• It applies easily without leaving a greasy film and imparts a pleasant residual silkiness and smooth feel to the skin.
• It offers predictable, reproducible and thermostable viscosity which increases apparent melting point and ensures cost-efficient use of UV filters.
• It provides shear-thinning viscosity, controlled alignment of special-effect pigments, and high degree of formulating flexibility.
• Bentone® Ultimate LC is recommended for face-, body- and sun care products, lipsticks, color cosmetics and antiperspirants.
• It is non-abrasive, toxicologically safe, Vegan and RSPO Mass Balance approved.
• It has a shelf life of 2 years.
