Bentone® Ultimate ISD

Isododecane (and) Disteardimonium Hectorite (and) Glyceryl Oleate. Bentone® Ultimate ISD by Elementis is a non-animal origin rheological additive. It is a specially prepared dispersion of an organically modified hectorite in Isododecane. Exhibits high active content to impart rheological control and suspension.

• It applies easily without leaving a greasy film on the skin.
• Offers excellent suspension of pigments and actives with controlled alignment of special-effect pigments.
• Provides thermostable viscosity control of oil phase emulsion, improves application properties, enhances skin-feel, improves suspension, smooth feel and imparts a pleasant residual silkiness to the skin.
• Acts as an alternative to traditional polymer or cellulose-based thickeners for stabilizing emulsions.
• It is predictable, reproducible and can be cold processed.
• It raises apparent melting point and ensures cost-efficient use of UV filters.
• Provides emulsion stabilization, high degree of formulating flexibility and highly reproducible results for multi-site production requirements.
• It is non-abrasive and toxicologically safe.
• It can be added at any convenient stage of manufacture and incorporated with medium shear mixing.
• Bentone® Ultimate ISD is optimally pre-activated and dispersed organoclay.
• Recommended for mascaras, eye shadows, creams, lotions, antiperspirants, toiletries, lip care and sun care products.
• It has a shelf life of 2 years.
