BENTONE HYDROCLAY™ 2100

Hectorite. BENTONE HYDROCLAY™ 2100 by Elementis is non-abrasive rheological additive for aqueous cosmetics and toiletries. It is highly beneficiated, easily dispersible, powdered smectite clay. It provides smooth, silky feel and excellent suspension control. It significantly improves the cleansing efficacy of mild surfactant systems, supporting DIY and water-free formulation concepts. It offers a soft-focus & mattifying effect, moisture retention and gives a flawless look to the skin. It increases the viscosity of the aqueous phase and stabilizes viscosity on aging at varying temperature under shear conditions. It is cold processable, imparts thermostable thixotropy/pseudoplasticity and reduces phase separation & syneresis. BENTONE HYDROCLAY™ 2100 is recommended for use in oil in water & water in oil emulsions, creams, lotions, antiperspirants, deodorants, color cosmetics, face packs, facial make-up, sun care and hair care products. Its shelf life is 4 years from the date of manufacture. BENTONE HYDROCLAY™ 2100 is vegan suitable, COSMOS approved and conforms to China.
