BENTONE HYDROCLAY™ 2001

Hectorite. BENTONE HYDROCLAY™ 2001 by Elementis is non-animal, non-abrasive rheological additive for aqueous cosmetics and toiletries. It is highly beneficiated, easily dispersible, powdered smectite clay. It provides smooth, silky feel and excellent suspension control. It increases the viscosity of the aqueous phase and stabilizes viscosity on aging at varying temperature under shear conditions. It offers thermostable thixotropy/pseudoplasticity and reduces phase separation & syneresis. BENTONE HYDROCLAY™ 2001 is recommended for use in oil in water & water in oil emulsions, creams, lotions, antiperspirants, deodorants, color cosmetics, face packs, facial make-up, sun care and hair care products. Its shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture. It is a vegan grade.
