Supplied byElementis- Last Updated on Apr 22, 2025

C11-12 Isoparaffin (and) Disteardimonium Hectorite (and) Alcohol. Bentone Gel® OMS V by Elementis acts as a rheology modifier. It is a dispersion of an organically modified hectorite in ISOPAR+H (C11-12 Isoparaffin). It is a very high viscosity, shear-thinning grade that exhibits excellent suspension of pigments and actives.
  • It provides predictable, reproducible, and thermostable viscosity control of the emulsion's oil phase that raises the apparent melting point and ensures cost-efficient use of UV filters.
  • It is an alternative to traditional polymer or cellulose-based thickeners for stabilizing emulsions (W/O and O/W).
  • It is a non-abrasive and toxicologically safe ingredient that provides a smooth feel to the skin, masks greasy and tacky components, and imparts silkiness to the skin.
  • It is an optimally pre-activated and dispersed organoclay that can be incorporated with medium-shear mixing.
  • It offers controlled alignment of special-effect pigments and gives a high degree of formulating flexibility.
  • Bentone Gel® OMS V is used in mascara and eye shadow.
  • It is RSPO certified.
  • It has a shelf life of 2 years.
