C9-12 Alkane (and) Disteardimonium Hectorite (and) Triethyl Citrate. BENTONE GEL® LC V by Elementis is an organically modified, cold processable, single & easy to use rheological additive of non-animal origin. It is a specially prepared, optimally pre-activated dispersion of hectorite clay in a low carbon chain alkane. It offers predictable, reproducible, stable, shear-thinning rheological control and excellent suspension of pigments & actives to the oil phase of cosmetics. It imparts thermostable viscosity that increases apparent melting point and ensures the cost-efficient use of UV filters along with emulsion stabilization [w/o and o/w]. BENTONE GEL® LC V is an easily spreadable, non-oily emollient which provides a soft, smooth, silky, satiny, non-tacky, light & lubricious sensory application along with excellent slip, low shine and low residue. It also offers thixotropic flow, improved application properties, moisturization and leaves a glowing, healthy sheen to the skin. It is suitable for emulsions. It is a volatile ingredient, making it an excellent alternative to cyclopentasiloxane & D5-based products. It gives a high degree of formulating flexibility and highly reproducible results for multi-site production requirements. It is recommended for face, hair & body care, masks, foundations & concealers, lipstick, antiperspirant and sun care. Also boosts SPF of organic and inorganic sunscreen actives. The shelf life of this grade is 2 years. It is vegan, naturally derived, china conforming and RSPO certified.
