Disteardimonium Hectorite (and) Isododecane (and) Triethyl Citrate. Bentone Gel® IDD-T V by Elementis is a non animal origin, organically modified, specially prepared rheological additive for cosmetics and toiletries.
  • It provides a smooth, silky, pleasant, non-abrasive, non-greasy and non-tacky skin feel.
  • It is suitable for "cold process" systems and can be used as an alternative to traditional polymer or cellulose-based thickeners for stabilizing emulsions (w/o and o/w).
  • It provides a predictable, reproducible & stable, shear thinning, thermostable viscosity control of the emulsion's oil phase and also enhances application properties.
  • It offers rheological control and suspension to organic- and silicone-based cosmetics.
  • It exhibits excellent suspension of pigments and actives and controlled alignment of special-effect pigments.
  • It elevates the apparent melting point and allows cost-efficient use of UV filters.
  • It gives a high degree of formulating flexibility and highly reproducible results for multi-site production requirements.
  • Bentone Gel® IDD-T V is recommended for use in mascara, eye shadows, antiperspirants, creams, lotions and sun care products.
  • The shelf life of this grade is 2 years.
