Bentone Gel® EUG V

Disteardimonium Hectorite (and) Octyldodecanol (and) Propylene Carbonate. BENTONE GEL® EUG V by Elementis is a non-abrasive, non-animal origin rheological additive for cosmetics and toiletries. It is a specially prepared dispersion of an organically modified hectorite in Eutanol® G. Offers rheological control and suspension to organic- and silicone-based cosmetics. It provides predictable, reproducible & stable & shear-thinning viscosity along with excellent suspension of pigments & actives. It enhances skin-feel by masking greasy or tacky components and imparts a pleasant residual silkiness & smoothness to the skin. It also provides controlled alignment of special-effect pigments and improves application properties. It raises apparent melting point and ensures cost-efficient use of UV filters. It offers thermostable viscosity control and leads to emulsion stabilization [w/o and o/w]. It is suitable for cold process systems and also gives a high degree of formulating flexibility. It is used as an alternative to traditional polymer or cellulose-based thickeners. BENTONE GEL® EUG V is used in sun care, creams & lotions, skin oils and emulsions. It is RSPO mass balance system approved. The shelf life of this grade is 2 years.
