Bentone Gel® DM5 V

Dimethicone (and) Disteardimonium Hectorite (and) Triethyl Citrate. Bentone Gel® DM5 V by Elementis is a non-animal, non-abrasive, rheological additive. It is specially prepared dispersion of an organically modified hectorite clay in dimethicone.

• It is an easily spreadable, non-oily emollient which leaves a pleasant residual silky, soft, smooth, non-tacky and non-greasy skin feel.
• It offers rheological control and suspension to both organic- and silicone-based cosmetics.
• It provides reproducible & thermostable viscosity control of the emulsion's oil phase and also gives shear-thinning viscosity & thixotropic flow.
• It offers unique & rich textures and improves application properties.
• It is suitable for cold process systems.
• It is an excellent alternative to cyclopentasiloxane based products.
• It shows excellent suspension of pigments & active and emulsion stabilization [w/o and o/w].
• Bentone Gel® DM5 V is used in lip & make-up products, creams/ointments, hair preparations and sunscreens.
• The shelf life of this ingredient is 2 years.
• It is approved under the RSPO Mass Balance system.
