Eastman AQ™ 38S Polymer

Polyester-5. Eastman AQ™ 38S Polymer by Eastman acts as a film former. It is a sulfopolyester that disperses directly in hot water without the assistance of amines, co-solvents, surfactants or other additives. Exhibits no neutralization, quick drying and water resistant properties. Aids the dispersion of many hydrophobic ingredients in water-based products and forms clear films at room temperature from aqueous dispersions. Because of its low Tg, it forms flexible films on the skin. It imparts a smooth feel to creams, lotions, sprays and adheres to the skin. Eastman AQ™ 38S Polymer provides improved coverage for sprayable sunscreens. It also aids the emulsification of oil-phase UV absorbers. Used in creams, lotions, skin care, low-viscosity hair sprays and sun care.
