Caprylyl Methicone (and) PEG-1Dimethicone/ PPG-20 Crosspolymer. DOWSIL™ EL-7040 Hydro Elastomer Blend by Dow is a rheology modifier in water based and anhydrous systems. It provides thickening benefits, sensory (light-feel) & texture enhancement. It can maintain the texture at high water or glycerin levels. It enhances spreadability, fragrance retention, matte appearance and moisturization.
  • It is a delivery aid for lipophilic actives, including sunscreens and for water soluble actives, including vitamin C, aloe vera, caffeine, and sensicalmine.
  • It is a clear to translucent crosslinked silicone-organic elastomer gel delivered in a silicone carrier fluid to impart smooth, powdery, non-greasy & refreshing skin feel.
  • It is cold-processable and compatible with a wide range of organic ingredients.
  • It enables to create clear systems with organic components and enhances aesthetics of anhydrous formulations.
  • It can incorporate up to 75% of water and up to 40% glycerin.
  • DOWSIL™ EL-7040 Hydro Elastomer Blend is used in a wide range of personal care products such as skin care, color cosmetics and sun care products.
  • Its shelf life is 24 months from the date of production.
