Squalene. VS - Olive Squalane Specification distributed by DKSH is a natural moisturizer and excellent emollient which tones & restructures skin. It offers skin elasticity, suppleness and smoothness by being naturally miscible with the skin sebum.
  • This ingredient provides TEWL prevention, increasing hydration and percutaneous active substances absorption.
  • It also leads to skin regeneration (restructures aged/damaged tissues), skin protection against photo-oxidation and easy skin penetration (vehicle for active substances).
  • This saturated hydrocarbon exhibits non-greasy after-feel.
  • It is obtained from the hydrogenation of the olive oil unsaponifiables fraction.
  • It shows great affinity with the skin (one of the skin sebum components, as well as of other human body organs).
  • It is a stable, non-oxidizing, non-drying, non-toxic, non-irritating, non-allergenic & non-GMO ingredient.
  • It can be added to an emulsion system in the oil phase.
  • It is used in skin care (moisturizing/protective creams & lotions for dry, sensitive and mature skin including anti-wrinkle ranges) and face care (cleansing products, make-up, lipsticks, self-tanning products).
  • Also, used in body care (body milks and lotions), hair care (hair conditioners and masks for dry/damaged hair), man care (after-shave lotions, hands & sun care formulations.
