Xanthan Gum. Cosphaderm® X 7 distributed by DKSH is a natural thickening-, conditioning-, and gelling agent. It is a non-GMO heteropolysaccharide derived from the fermentation of glucose or sucrose by the bacterium Xanthomonas campestris. It can be used to increase the viscosity of aqueous solutions without causing any changes in taste or odor.
- It efficiently stabilizes cosmetic o/w-emulsions by preventing fusion of oil droplets and its solutions are tolerant against salts, acids, heat and ethanol.
- It is suitable for water based, O/W, W/O and surfactant based skin- and hair care formulations.
