Phytessence™ Osmanthus by Croda is an active- & emotive ingredient designed for UV protection and addressing the oxidative stress associated with increasing levels of pollutants and temperatures. It is derived from plant native to East Asia, where osmanthus is an emblematic flower, admired & rooted in many cultures and traditions.

• Osmanthus has also seduced Western cultures, particularly in perfumery for its floral and fruity notes.
• It is quantified in verbacoside & provides protection from the harmful effects of heat by regulating the production of HSP70 and reducing the production of free radicals.
• It exhibits protective, anti-oxidant and soothing properties.
• It is an ultimate flower for geo-skincare which naturally soothes the skin from sunburn by reducing redness and the production of PGE2.
