Cellulose Gum. Cekol® 2000 by CP Kelco acts as a thickener, stabilizer and dispersan. It has the ability to impart viscosity to aqueous solutions. It is a water-soluble polymer derived from wood and cotton cellulose by introducing carboxymethyl groups on the cellulose backbone. It is pseudoplastic by nature and can have either non-thixotropic or thixotropic rheology. Cekol® 2000 is used in creams, lotions, sunscreens, serums, soap bar and toothpaste.
