Sodium glucoheptonate (H-Quest A300)

Sodium Gluceptate. Sodium glucoheptonate (H-Quest A300) by Connect Chemicals is a palm oil-free, natural chelating agent produced from high purity sugar. It is a non-toxic, non-corrosive, easy to handle grade which shows good efficacy against mold & bacteria. Exhibits excellent sequestration power over a broad range of di- and trivalent metal ions such as Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, Fe²⁺, Fe³⁺, Zn²⁺ and Al³⁺. It shows high compatibility with strong alkali solutions (pH 8-10) which can prevent the bacterial and fungal degradation of the solution. It is used as an alternative to traditional chelate (EDTA). Recommended for formulating leave-on & rinse-off products, fragrances, makeup, toiletries, skin-, hair-, sun and baby care products. It is inherently biodegradable, Halal & Kosher certified and NATRUE allowed. It can be used in ECOCERT/COSMOS formulations. Sodium glucoheptonate (H-Quest A300) has a shelf life of 60 months.
