Elixi-KON SB

Sodium Benzoate. Elixi-KON SB by Connect Chemicals acts as a corrosion inhibitor, pH adjuster, preservative and fragrance ingredient. It is manufactured through a chemical reaction between sodium hydroxide with benzoic acid. It is bacteriostatic and fungistatic under acidic conditions.

• It is most effective at a lower pH, preferably as low as 3, but does have a small amount of efficacy at a pH of 6.
• Elixi-KON SB is often mixed with other preservatives such as potassium sorbate to create a synergistic effect covering a wide variety of bacteria, yeast and molds.
• Recommended for facial cleansing wipes, shampoos, baby cleansing water and skin care products.
• It has a shelf life of 24 months.
