Chondrus Crispus Extract. Satiagel™ VPC 508 by Cargill is a readily biodegradable, anionic texturizer and gelling agent. It is made of iota carrageenan, extracted from red seaweed. It exhibits film forming properties, shear-thinning and thixotropic behavior. It is a cold & warm processable, cold dispersible and thermoreversible ingredient.
- It provides medium to high viscosity and elastic gel textures in the presence of electrolytes.
- It offers high transparency along with silky, gliding, light & fresh sensory to final formula.
- It is suitable for applications such as color cosmetics, cleansers, body washes, hair styling gels, facial masks and skin care products.
