Stearalkonium Bentonite. CLAYTONE® -VZ V XR by BYK is a powdered rheology additive based on organically modified natural bentonite (organophilic phyllosilicate) for use in personal care applications. It increases viscosity, provides thixotropic flow behavior and controls syneresis in medium to high polar solvents. It is compatible with surfactants & emulsifiers.
  • It may be used to stabilize water-in-oil emulsion systems.
  • It achieves high thickening efficiency over a wide range of medium to high polar fluids after activation.
  • CLAYTONE® -VZ V XR is used in creams, lotions, sunscreen, antiperspirants, deodorants, liquid makeup, lipsticks, cream eye shadows and nail polishes.
  • It is vegan certified and complies with REACH, EINECS, TSCA, PICCS, DSL, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI.
  • It is free of VOC, biocides, preservatives, CMR, dimethyl fumarate, formaldehyde, formaldehyde releaser, PAH, phthalates, APEO and PFAS.
  • It has a shelf life of 36 months.
