Stearalkonium Bentonite. CLAYTONE® -APA V by BYK is a powdered rheology additive based on organically modified bentonite (organophilic phyllosilicate) for use in personal care applications. It swells and disperses easily and may be used to stabilize water-in-oil emulsion systems.
  • It increases viscosity, provides thixotropic flow behavior, suspends pigments and particles.
  • CLAYTONE® -APA V is used in creams, lotions, sunscreen, antiperspirants, deodorants, liquid makeup, lipsticks, cream eye shadows and nail polishes.
  • It is compatible with surfactants & emulsifiers.
  • It is vegan certified and complies with REACH, EINECS, TSCA, DSL, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI.
  • It is free of VOC, biocides, preservatives, CMR, dimethyl fumarate, formaldehyde, formaldehyde releaser, PAH, phthalates, APEO and PFAS.
  • It has a shelf life of 60 months.
