Aqua (and) Lactic Acid (and) Potassium Lactate. PURAC® BF P/41 by Corbion and supplied regionally by Brenntag Beauty & Personal Care in Europe (except CEE South, Greece, Sweden) acts as an anti-aging agent. It is based on L-lactic acid, obtained by fermentation from carbohydrates. It has the best therapeutic index (skin renewal/irritation). L-lactic acid can be considered ‘the body's own’ alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), as it is naturally produced by the body. By stimulating exfoliation and cell renewal as well as providing moisturization, it provides anti-aging benefits. Due to its optimized pH, it is an easy to use solution for formulations with a pH between 4.0-5.0, at which an optimal balance between efficacy and reduced potential irritation can be obtained. It gently stimulates cell renewal to obtain smoother, younger and brighter looking skin. PURAC® BF P/41 is a formulation for a skin rejuvenating night creams.
