Novaguard™ PG

Pentylene Glycol. Novaguard™ PG by Novaphene Specialities distributed by Brenntag Beauty & Personal Care in Europe (except Greece) is a moisturizing agent. It has antiseptic effect. It is completely odorless humectant with emollient properties. It supports hydration, reduces transepidermal water loss and enhances preservation through antimicrobial action. It reduces allergy and improves the water resistance of sunscreen formula. It is bioavailability enhancer and boost the activity of both lipophilic and hydrophilic actives.

• It is stable in O/W emulsions, that helps to reduce the particle size of emulsions, thus providing less coalescence and better stability.
• It improves pigment dispersion, helps to get whiter and shinier emulsions, facilitates absorption on to the skin and enhances the efficacy of cooling agents.
• It is an excellent solubilizer and helps to solubilize many challenging ingredients, including fragrances.
• It can also be used to increase the clarity of translucent formulations like aqueous gels and toners.
• It is used in skin-, eye cream, skin water, baby care- and sunscreen product.
• Novaguard™ PG has a shelf life of 2 years.
