It is vegan suitable and has emollient features which bring pleasant feel to formulations. It functions as a skin humectant with long lasting effect. It is an odorless multifunctional ingredient with excellent moisturizing properties and solvent performance. It provides intrinsic antimicrobial activity and acts as a strong preservative booster, while improving sensory characteristics with added softness and hydration. It exhibits bacteriostatic and bacteriacidal properties which are useful in cosmetics.
