Microsponge® P078A

Salicylic Acid (and) Methyl Methacrylate/Glycol Dimethacrylate. Microsponge® P078A by AMCOL Health & Beauty Solutions (HBS) and distributed by Brenntag Beauty & Personal Care in US and Canada is a microparticle delivery system. It is a spherically highly cross-linked polymer loaded with salicylic acid. It is an elegant way to deliver salicylic acid into anti-acne products that allows the formulation of products without harsh-to-the-skin solvents like ethanol, while providing sustained release of salicylic acid and the ability to simultaneously provide control of sebum on the surface of the skin. It does not require the use of irritating and skin drying solvents such as ethanol.
