Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose. Benecel™ hydroxypropyl methylcellulose E4M by Ashland and distributed by Brenntag Beauty & Personal Care in US is a nature-derived rheology modifier. It is derived from sustainable wood and cotton-based cellulose, with 100% recycled cotton linters. It acts as a non-ionic thickener compatible with both anionic and cationic ingredients including other rheology modifiers. It is broadly compatible with surfactants, including sulfate-free types.

  • It enhances foam and foam stability while also improving the sensorial experience in hair and skin care products.
