BELSIL® PDM 20

Trimethylsiloxyphenyl Dimethicone. BELSIL® PDM 20 by Wacker and distributed by Brenntag Beauty & Personal Care in North America acts as an emollient. It is a phenyl-modified polydimethylsiloxane characterized by having a higher refractive index than dimethicone fluids. It imparts a very pleasant feel to the skin and provides water repellency.

• It offers shine and compatibility with other cosmetic raw materials.
• In antiperspirant formulations, phenyl-modified silicones are employed as a refractive-index match to promote the formation of clear products.
• BELSIL® PDM 20 reduces the stickiness of formulations containing acrylic acid polymers.
• It is designed for use in skin care, color cosmetics, hairstyling products, eye make-up, make-up, shampoos, conditioners, make-up foundation, and lip make-up.
• It complies with REACH, AREC, NZIoC, ENCS, AIIC, IECSC, DSL, PICCS, TSCA and TCSI regulations.
