Amodimethicone. BELSIL® ADM 1370 by Wacker and distributed by Brenntag Beauty & Personal Care in North America acts as a conditioning agent. It is an amino functional polydimethylsiloxane fluid. It improves wet and dry combing for damaged and natural hair and offers soft and smooth hair feel. It reduces fly away caused by electrostatic charging and provides color- and heat protection. It is formulated under acidic conditions, its amine groups bear a positive charge and effectively interact with the negatively charged hair surface to ensure effective conditioning. It finds application in formulating shampoos, rinse-off conditioners, hair masks, serums and styling products like mousses.
