Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Seed Oil. Acts as an antioxidant and protective active. It is a cold pressed vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of tomatoes. It is rich in carotenoid antioxidants including lycopene, lutein and zeaxanthin & polyunsaturated fatty acids (stearic acid-5.6%, palmitic acid-12.9%, oleic acid (omega 9)-20.8%, linoleic acid (omega 6)-48.9% & linolenic acid (omega 3)-1.89%), phytosterols and dissolved minerals. The lipid antioxidants also include different forms of vitamin E. Both carotenoid and vitamin E antioxidants exhibit protective system against oxidative stress of human skin. It has light viscosity, superior skin absorption, good stability and shelf life. Used in skin care products.
