Polyquaternium 11. Polyquaternium 11 by Blue Sun International acts as a thickener, emollient and moisturizing agent. . It is a copolymer of VP/DMAEMA (vinyl pyrrolidone and dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate). As a copolymer of VP and an acrylate, it is less susceptible to humidity than VP homopolymer. It can moisturize as well as aid in styling. It may have decreased efficacy due to humidity than polyquaternium-4. Polyquaternium 11 is water miscible, but not water soluble and could lead to some build-up over time. Used in creams and hair products.
