Berkemyol® COCOA

Palmitoyl Cocoa seed extract. Berkemyol® Cocoa by Berkem is an antioxidant, anti-aging, anti-elastase and anti-photoaging agent. It preserves elastin, combats oxidative stress and has anti-photoaging properties. It is an esterified procyanidolic compound of cocoa, mostly epicatechin. Berkemyol® Cocoa is obtained by esterification of a polyphenolic extract of cocoa seeds. Preserves the suppleness and the elasticity of the skin. It is preservative free. Polyphenol and its derivatives provide protection from free radical damage and also lead to younger-looking skin by inhibiting the oxidation of intra- and extracellular components: collagen, essential fatty acids, proteins and skin and membrane lipids. Applications include skin care: anti-aging products, products for the treatment and prevention of aging, daily protection products; sun care: synergy with filters in photoprotection products and make-up: facial care make-up products.
