Beta-Glucan (and) Aqua. Hydrasensyl® Glucan by BASF is an ultra-pure, multi-functional and fast-acting moisturizing, smoothening and soothing agent. It has powerful immediate and long-term efficacy. It combines structural elements of both hyaluronic acid & collagen and contains phenoxyethanol as preservative. It consists of a long chain of disaccharide units made of two glucose derivatives. This primary structure helps binding large amounts of water in the skin like a natural water-superabsorber. The polysaccharide chains are intertwined to form a rope-like, highly resilient triple helix like collagen. Hydrasensyl® Glucan provides elasticity & a pleasantly light feel to the skin, comfort and redness reduction. It also reduces pro-inflammatory mediators in ex-vitro hair applications. It offers feminine hygiene, resurfacing and calming benefits. After two weeks, by applying 2.5% dosage, skin hydration improves by 43% and skin smoothness by 24% compared to the baseline. It decreases sensitivity and erythema intensity compared to control and placebo group. Recommended for men care, after sun, body care, hand care and face care applications.
