EPERULINE® PW LS 9627

Maltodextrin (and) Eperua Falcata Bark Extract. EPERULINE® PW LS 9627 by BASF is a preservative-free, antioxidant and firming agent. It is a bark extract of the tree eperua falcata that has been developed to target inflammation. It provides soothing, calming and moisturization properties. It jointly targets several pathways involved in the initiation and propagation of inflammaging. At the cell level, the extract limits the activation of NF-kB, which can trigger inflammatory cascades. It limits the release of pro-inflammatory neuropeptides (CGRP) by the sensitive nerve fiber endings (group C). This ingredient also inhibits plasmin, a stratum corneum protein indirectly activated by the cytokines and responsible for the degradation of the basal membrane. EPERULINE® PW LS 9627 is used in cosmetic formulations.
