PVP-VA I-735

VP/VA Copolymer. PVP-VA I-735 by Ashland Specialty Chemical is a 50% solution of linear and random polyvinylpyrrolidone/vinyl acetate (PVP/VA) copolymer in isopropanol. Acts as a film forming agent. It forms transparent, flexible and oxygen permeable films which adhere to glass, plastic and metal. It is produced by the free-radical polymerization of monomers in the ratio of 70/30 (VP/VA). Offers strong & stiff hold, enhanced high humidity curl retention and good propellant compatibility. PVP-VA I-735 finds application in formulating hair care products like hairsprays, colorants, mousses, gels, styling lotions/creams and novelty stylers.
