Aqua (and) Methylisothiazolinone (and) Phenylpropanol (and) Propylene Glycol. optiphen™ mit ultra preservative by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a preservative. It works across a wide pH window (2-10) and is easily solubilized in water. This methylisothiazolinone-based preservative can be used in products that are typically considered difficult to preserve with conventional preservatives. It is effective against gram-positive & gram-negative bacteria, yeast, mold and offers excellent heat stability. optiphen™ mit ultra preservative is suggested for use in hair care (conditioners, gels, mousses, novel stylers, shampoos, styling lotions/creams), skin care (body care, color cosmetics, face and body washes, facial care, and wipes) and sun care (after-sun, self-tanning, and sunscreen) applications. It is designed for use in rinse-off & leave-on application.
