optiphen™ bsp preservative

Phenoxyethanol (and) Benzoic Acid (and) Sorbic Acid (and) Propylene Glycol. optiphen™ bsp preservative by Ashland Specialty Chemical is a preservative. It is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeast & mold and offers excellent heat stability. Used in hair care (conditioners, gels, mousses, novel stylers, shampoos, styling lotions/creams), skin care (body care, color cosmetics, face and body washes, facial care, and wipes) and sun care (after-sun, self-tanning, and sunscreen) applications. optiphen™ bsp preservative works across a wide pH window (up to pH 5.4) and is easily solubilized in water. It is recommended for leave-on & rinse-off applications & wet wipes.
