Exhibits excellent heat stability and works across a wide pH window (up to pH 5.4). It is easily solubilized in water. It is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeast and mold. It is free of formaldehyde donor, halogen, isothiazolinones & paraben. optiphen™ bsb-n preservative is suggested for use in hair care (conditioners, gels, mousses, novel stylers, shampoos, styling lotions/creams), skin care (body care, color cosmetics, face and body washes, facial care, and wipes) and sun care (after-sun, self-tanning, and sunscreen) applications. It is EcoCert-, NaTrue-, COSMOS- and BDIH compliant.
