N-Hance™ BF-17 Cationic Guar

Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride. N-Hance™ BF-17 Cationic Guar by Ashland Specialty Chemical is a thickener and conditioning agent. It is boron-free & cross-linked with glyoxal which differentiates it from typical cationic guars. This quaternary polymer is a medium-cationic-substitution, high-molecular-weight polymer which is substantive to anionic surfaces such as skin and hair. N-Hance™ BF-17 Cationic Guar is designed for use in shampoos and body washes. Upon dilution of the surfactants with water, the cationic guar will complex with the anionic surfactants. The complex will deposit cosmetically effective levels of ingredients such as silicone or emollient oils onto hair and skin.
