PVM/MA Copolymer. Gantrez™ S-97 BF polymer HSU solution by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a film forming agent. It is a methyl vinyl ether and maleic acid copolymer used to deliver and hold actives on mucus membranes. It is water-soluble and results in clear, tacky solutions whose rheology can be modified with the addition of salts and bases. Gantrez™ S-97 BF polymer HSU solution is used in oral care formulations.
