Gafquat™ HSi conditioning solution

Polyquaternium-28 (and) Dimethicone. Gafquat™ HSi conditioning solution by Ashland acts as a conditioning agent. It is a methacrylamidopropyl trimethylammonium chloride (MAPTAC) copolymer using a unique shell/core structure. It combines the benefits of both film forming polymers and dimethicone while minimizing drawbacks associated with silicones (greasy feel, build-up). This allows for stable formulation of water-insoluble silicone in aqueous products, compatibility with anionic surfactants, foam stabilization, and good stability during storage. Gafquat™ HSi conditioning solution is used in shampoos, conditioners, conditioning treatments, gels, mousses and novelty stylers.
