Aqua (and) Propanediol (and) Hexapeptide-42. Caspaline 14™ biofunctional by Ashland is a synthetic peptide designed to help in enhancing skin’s natural UV defenses and fight the signs of aging. It boosts the expression of caspase-14 and filaggrin (the precursor of natural moisturizing factor (NMF), an important component of supple, moisturized skin). It focuses on the skin's natural ability to minimize damage from UV exposure. It has sodium benzoate as a preservative system. By boosting caspase-14, which has been linked with cornifying epithelial tissue, such as the skin, and influencing terminal keratinocyte differentiation and formation of the skin's barrier function, Caspaline 14™ may help limit skin damage from UV. Caspaline 14™ biofunctional is suggested for skin care like body care, color cosmetics, and facial care applications and after-sun products.
