Carbomer. Vida-Care™ Carbomer CG by Alfa chemicals is a highly efficient anionic thickening agent. It produces clear thick gels when appropriately neutralized with a pseudoplastic (shear thinning) rheology profile. It disperses and swells in water and polar solvents.
- It is acrylic acid cross-linked with a hydroxymethyl propanediolpropenyl ether.
- It provides emulsion stability, high yield value for suspending solids, and shear thinning for good spreadability.
- It is recommended for aqueous and hydro-alcoholic styling gels, hand sanitizing, personal care gels and emulsions such as creams, lotions, sprays and color cosmetics.
- Vida-Care™ Carbomer CG has a shelf life of 24 months.
