DMDM Hydantoin. Kemidant L40 by Akema acts as a preservative with proven efficacy. It is a 40% water solution of DMDM Hydantoin. It is highly effective against gram-negative bacteria, gram-positive bacteria and molds. For its high water solubility, it is particularly suggested for aqueous formulations and emulsions. Kemidant L40 is synergistic with parabens and IPBC. It is stable and active in the pH range 3-9. It is approved for use in EU, US, ASEAN, China, Latam.
