ViaPure® Boswellia

Boswellia Serrata Extract. ViaPure® Boswellia by Actives International acts as an anti-aging agent, firming agent and soothing agent. It is ultra-refined lipophilic extract of boswellia gum resin. It contains primarily a mixture of the two most potent triterpenoids (acetylketo-boswellic acid and keto-boswellic acid). It effectively inhibits 5-lipoxygenase, an enzyme responsible for the production of inflammatory mediators in the Arachidonic Acid Cascade, and prevents the release of pro-inflammatory Leukotriene B4 from neutrophils. It soothes acute and chronic irritations. It promotes a healthy stratum corneum and improved barrier function by modulating the activity of cathepsin D, a skin enzyme responsible for desquamation. It is also recommended in products designed for chronically inflamed or sensitive skin. ViaPure® Boswellia is used in skin care products.
