Dimethicone. Andisil® SF 600,000 by AB Specialty Silicones is a high viscosity, non-reactive, polydimethyl siloxane. It offers anti-frizz, active carrier and conditioning benefits. It displays low build up and soft/suppler feel properties in hair care products. Also, improves texture and dry & wet combing. It is suitable for dry and damaged hair. It provides water resistance and improved spreading of actives without weighing the hair down, even at high molecular weights due to the low surface tension of silicones. In skin care products, it displays film forming, cushion, lubrication, moisturizing, skin protectant, tack reduction, water repellency and wash-off resistance. It is suitable for clear formulations. It is recommended for formulations where a higher viscosity final product is desired. Andisil® SF 600,000 finds application in creams & lotions, shampoos, leave-in & rinse-off conditioners, styling treatment, antiperspirant/deodorant, cleansers, color cosmetics, serums and sun care applications. The shelf life of this ingredient is 12 months.
