Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine. AakoSun BEMT by Aako is an organic, oil-soluble, broad-spectrum sun filter. It absorbs both UV-A and UV-B rays at wavelengths from 280 to 400nm, with peak protections at about 310 and 345nm. It requires very small concentrations to achieve a high sun protection factor (SPF) and UV-A Protection Factor (UVAPF).
- It is not significantly absorbed into the skin, barely leads to skin irritation and does not appear to have hormonal effects.
- It is very soluble in cosmetic emollients and can be incorporated into the oily phase of emulsions.
- It is super photostable and ideal for stabilizing other less stable sunscreen agents.
