Synthalen M

Carbomer. Synthalen M by 3V Sigma is a rheology modifier, thickener and suspending agent. Dispersions characterized by low viscosity at 0.2% &or less and high viscosity at higher concentrations (0.5% & more). It is very suitable for stabilizing emulsions and suspensions. Slightly opalescent gels are obtained. It disperses slowly in water and neutralize with an appropriate base such as inorganic bases or organic amines. Dispersion should be made by slow addition of the polymer. Turbulent agitation should be avoided. The addition of a water-soluble UV-absorber can help for preventing polymer degradation. It can be dispersed in the oil phase obtaining free flowing dispersions with concentration up to 30%. Synthalen M is recommended for toothpaste, bar Soaps, shaving, depilatory and liquid make-up products. It can also be used in skin & sun care products and deodorants.
