Stabylen 30 by 3V Sigma is a rheology modifier. It can be used as suspending and thickening agent in surfactant systems. It is a cross-linked acrylic polymer with enhanced lipophilic characteristics. It combines emulsifying properties with a good thickening efficacy in a broad range of pH. Provides very stable oil-in-water emulsions with any oil phase without regard to HLB. Exhibits a very good stability with an improved spreadability and a significant reduction of soapy feeling. Shows low sensibility to salts. It can be dispersed following the normal procedure adopted for carbomer. Dispersion should be made by slow addition of the polymer. Turbulent agitation should be avoided. The addition of water-soluble UV-absorbers can help for preventing polymer degradation. Stabylen 30 is recommended for toothpaste, bath & shower products, shaving, depilatory and liquid make-up products. It can also be used in skin, sun & hair care products and deodorants.
