PNC 430

Supplied by3V Sigma- Last Updated on Apr 13, 2022

Sodium Carbomer. PNC 430 by 3V is pre-neutralized polymer that can be used as thickener, stabilizer and suspending agent. It provides quick dispersion, no neutralizing phase, constant pH during the production process. Dispersions is characterized by low viscosity at 0.2% or less and high viscosity at higher concentrations (0.5% or more). PNC 430 disperses in water or in water/alcohol blend to obtain slight opalescent gels. To obtain emulsions, PNC 430 can be dispersed in the oil or in the water phase or directly in the emulsion. The addition of a water-soluble UV-absorber can help for preventing polymer degradation. pH achieved at 0.5% in water is around 7. If lower pH is required, little adjustments are possible by addition of acids but if a strong reduction of pH is needed, blend it with Syntalen M without any neutralization.
